E8 Vs D10 or to eat or not to eat...THAT! is the question

At work we have a snack vending machine, is one of those progressive ones that gives you an array of "healthier" options for snacking like Baked Chips or Baked Cheetos, even granola and yogurt bars. Every time I stand in front of that vending machine the battle begins, you remember in the cartoons how the evil part of your conscience and the good part will stand one on each of your shoulders and argue about what you should or shouldn't do on a situation. That's me every time I stand in front of this darn machine, I suffer from type 2 diabetes so I need to snack at least 3 times a day, most of the times I bring my own snacks from home, but some times I don't and that's when it becomes really difficult for me. E8 is the position on the vending machine for the Snickers bars, D10 is the position for the granola bars, the problem is even when I like them both, there's a little more love for the Snickers bar, I mean with the exception of my wife who doesn't like chocolate (yeah I know, that's another story) or peanuts, who can resist the glorious mix of milk chocolate, caramel and peanuts? Gotta admit most of the times E8 wins the stand off, leaving D10 behind the glass display. But with my illness and the wisdom only age brings I've learned to make better decisions when it comes to choose my snacking goods. They say Snickers always satisfies but the truth is that this devilish candy bar only leaves you craving more. I'm sure hoping the candy scientists are working on developing a candy that doesn't have sugar or calories and tastes great. Until then the battle continues, I wonder what I'll choose for my next snack :-) I'll let you know, maybe I won't
